LENTEN WORSHIP BEGINS FEB. 22ND—ASH WEDNESDAY AT 7:00 PM Communion and the imposition of ashes will be offered. Wednesday evening services continue through lent. Starting on Feb. 29th and continuing on Wednesdays through March 28th, there will be a soup supper at 6:00 pm and worship at 7:00 pm. Join us as we follow Jesus to the cross.
DROP YOUR DRAWERS AT CHURCH—UNDY SUNDAYS—Today is the last day. Once again the Women of Peace are collecting undergarments for PADS and the Addison Switchboard. While all sizes and styles are needed, both adult and child, a special request is made for larger sizes for adult women and medium for men. Remember, these items must be NEW!! DELEGATE NEEDED We are looking for one more delegate to attend the Metro Chicago Synod Assembly on June 1st & 2nd at Tinley Park Convention Center. FIRST COMMUNION If you have a child who is ready to formally receive First Communion, please speak to Pastor J.T. It is planned that First Communion would be offered on Maundy Thursday to those who wish it. FLOWER CHART There are lots of empty spaces on the new flower chart. Is there a special day you would like to commemorate? If so, sign up to donate flowers. You’ll also be enhancing the sanctuary to God’s glory. Cost is $15 GOURMANDS will meet on Thursday, March 1st at 5:30 pm at La Hacienda Restaurant at 1571 W. Lake Street in Addison. FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN On Monday, March 19th we need 32 people to help fill packets of food for starving children and families all over the world. We meet at church at 7:30 pm and drive to Schaumburg. We will be back at approximately 9:45 pm. Sign up in the narthex across from the office if you are planning to come. FISH FRY &TALENT SHOW MARCH 16, 6:00PM Dinner and a show. Mark your calendars for this special event to help support the youth that are going to the ELCA 2012 Youth Gathering in New Orleans. We will try again on Friday, March 2, at 7 PM. Bring your board games, card games, word games, etc. and “munchies” and enjoy an evening of fellowship. Snow date is the following Friday, March 9.
